Pottery Taster Course (5h)

Suitable for: complete beginners and anyone who simply wants to give pottery a try

No previous experience is needed. You’ll work with prepared, pre-centred clay, allowing you to focus on learning the basic techniques of wheel throwing.

The course is divided into two sessions:

• Part A: wheel throwing (~2.5 hours)
• Part B: painting and/or glazing (~2.5 hours)

During the course, you’ll try:

• opening up the clay and pulling up the walls
• creating simple bowls or vessels
• painting bisque-fired pieces with underglaze colours and/or glazing them

The second session takes place after your pieces have dried and been bisque-fired. You’ll create 1–2 finished pieces, which will be ready to collect after their final firing.
